The Concept
The Silent Requiem is the most intimate study within the Bound Angels series. If the first two works depicted the external battle against the void, this third piece turns inward. It is a portrait of “The Shout of Silence”—where the agony has been internalised so deeply it manifests as a quiet, porcelain-like stillness.
The angel’s eyes are closed, suggesting either a meditative retreat or a final surrender to the earthly cage. The thorns, rendered with aggressive sharpness, contrast against the soft, ethereal curls of her hair, creating a visual metaphor for the harsh reality that entangles the divine spirit.
